High school teams from around Vermont will be tested on their financial and economic literacy.

The Vermont Treasurer’s office, along with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, is holding the quiz-show style contest today in Montpelier.

Today’s contest will pick a champion to compete this fall in the Reserve Cup Challenge in Boston.

Organizers say the purpose is to promote interest among students in personal finance, economics and consumer affairs.

The fourth annual state competition will be held from 9:30 to 2 in the Pavilion Building auditorium with the championship round planned for 1:30.
