Northeast Kingdom hunters will have a chance on Tuesday night to speak out regarding proposed deer-hunting regulations. Under the proposal, deer hunters would be allowed to take only one buck a year. In previous seasons, hunters could take up to three bucks between the archery, rifle and muzzle loading seasons.

In addition, the Fish and Wildlife Department is seeking a moratorium on spikehorns in three wildlife management zones: one in Rutland County, one in central Vermont and one in the northwest corner of the state.

The hearing on Tuesday is at seven p.m. at Lyndon State College. There will be another hearing Thursday night at Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans.
