There’s been a reaction around the country to Newfane’s Town Meeting Day vote recommending President Bush’s impeachment.

Telephone calls have been fielded at the town office from around the country and local businesses have been bombarded with e-mails.

Some businesses say people have threatened to cancel plans to visit, although some of those are hard to verify.

Other e-mails have been generally critical of the vote, which calls on Congressman Bernie Sanders to seek the president’s impeachment in Congress.

Officials and business leaders say the complaints came primarily on Wednesday and are starting to taper off.
