In The Adirondacks, Tupper Lake Mayor Backs Development Plan For Village

A massive ski resort development plan in the Adirondacks was approved last week by the Adirondacks Park Agency, and it could result in the village known as Tupper Lake undergoing  some big changes. 

The project has been tied up for years as environmentalists and developers debated the merits and impacts, and that fight may not be over even with the APA’s 10-1 vote in favor of the development.

Paul Maroun is the Mayor of Tupper Lake.  He spoke with VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb about fighting to get the project green-lighted.
