Interview: Arts Council’s palette project

Vermont is awash in artists these days. If you doubt that’s true, consider the fact that over 30,000 Vermonters – more that 5 percent of the state’s population – are taking part in a statewide art project called “The Palettes of Vermont.” Recently the Vermont Arts Council distributed 30,000 paper palettes to town organizations and schools throughout Vermont as well as 7,000 maple artist palettes, and said, “Show us what you got.”

Alex Aldrich is the executive director of the Vermont Arts Council. He talked to Mitch Wertlieb about the project.
