(Host)  Bill Haugland spent 29 years as the evening news anchor at CFCF, Montreal’s largest English-language television station.

Now three years into his retirement, Haugland has written his first book, a crime drama called "Mobile 9."

The book follows Ty Davis, a young television reporter, in the late 1960’s.  Following a series of drug raids in the Eastern townships, Davis is drawn into Montreal’s underworld of Hell’s Angel’s, mafia henchmen and political terrorists.

Mobile 9 integrates real-life events, including the 1969 bombing of the Mayor’s home, and that year’s dizzying Gray Cup game.

Bill Haugland lives in Highgate, and joined us in our Colchester studios.
