In his inaugural address this month Governor Jim Douglas announced the formation of an economic response team to help Vermont companies at risk in the recession.
The Governor said the team would include members of the public and private sector-drawing from state agencies, private business owners and development organizations from around the state.
Today we’re speaking with the head of the team. Betsy Bishop is also the state’s Economic Development Commissioner and says the group’s first meeting yesterday served as a kind of fact-finding mission.
