Interview: John King of Vermont Public Television

Last year, the Republican chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting hired an outside consultant to keep track of the guests on the PBS show Now with Bill Moyers. Kenneth Tomlinson hired the consultant without telling PBS board members he was doing so, and the executive director of PBS was among those who say Tomlinson continues to press for more conservative programming on PBS stations to counter what he believes is a liberal bias.

Mitch Wertlieb spoke about these and other issues with the President and General Manager of Vermont Public Television, John King, at VPT’s studios in Colchester.
