Religious and ethnic fundamentalism increasingly influence contemporary political discourse.

How can traditional religions work to overcome the divisiveness that has been thrust upon societies both here and abroad?

That question is addressed by Rabbi Joshua Chasan in his new book, “Judaism Inside Out Reclaiming the Promise of Israel”, published by Water Wheel Press of Burlington.

In the book, Rabbi Chasan urges Jews and non-Jews alike to be innovative, in thought and practice, as they struggle to reclaim spiritual purpose.

Rabbi Joshua Chasan has served as spiritual leader of Ohavi Zedek Synagogue in Burlington since 1991.

He recently spoke with Neal Charnoff about his book.
