People walking along Church Street in Burlington are casting curious glances at a sleek silver air stream trailer, with an interior that looks a lot like a typical neighborhood diner.

But it’s not food you’ll find inside. Instead, there are microphones
recording intimate stories and conversations between friends, family, husbands and wives that will be archived in the National Library of Congress.

It’s the NPR StoryCorps mobile recording booth, and starting today Vermonters will be stopping by to talk to each other and tell their tales.

Lisa Janicki is a StoryCorps facilitator and she gave Mitch Wertlieb a tour of the booth and spoke about the project.
