Cancer survivors and their families will gather in Stowe today for the 6th annual Stowe Weekend of Hope – a retreat and educational forum that over the next 3 days will provide information from top cancer researchers on innovations and emerging treatments, including non-traditional and alternative therapies. But perhaps the most important aspect of the Stowe Weekend of Hope is the opportunity it provides for cancer survivors to connect with each other and share their stories.
Liz Jeffords will be sharing her story today when she delivers the forum’s opening address. The wife of Sen. Jim Jeffords spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about the retreat, as well as her own experiences dealing with cancer.
