The growing rift between faculty members at Vermont’s State Colleges and Chancellor, Robert Clarke grew larger this week when the faculty of Johnson State College issued a “no-confidence” vote directed at Clarke joining Castleton, Lyndon and Vermont Technical College in expressing their dissatisfaction with the Chancellor.

Yesterday students at Lyndon State held a demonstration in support of the teacher. And the faculty members of the five-college system, locked in a contract dispute that’s now two-years- old, say their complaints go beyond that impasse.

Mitch Wertlieb spoke with General Counsel for the Vermont State Colleges, Mary Alice McKenzie, about the issue.
