(Steve Delaney) All across Vermont there is one issue that is coming up at every town meeting this year, and that is the high and rising property tax rate. Property taxes are the main source of revenue for funding school budgets in Vermont, and many school budgets are under serious threat of rejection by the voters.

Edie Miller is watching very carefully as school budget decisions are being made this year. She’s executive director of the Vermont School Boards’ Association. Ms. Miller, welcome to Morning Edition.
