Interview: Susan Rose, assualt on Vermont teacher in Scotland

A popular teacher from White River Junction was severely injured after being attacked while on vacation in Scotland last week. Reading teacher Marty Layman-Mendonca of the White River School was hiking in the Scottish highlands when she was assaulted, and at last check she was listed in
critical condition at a Scottish hospital.

The community in the White River area was shocked and saddened to hear of the attack on the popular 57-year old teacher, who’s been on staff at the White River School since the 1980’s.
