This is the last day of May, and if you’re among those who were less than pleased with the seemingly endless days of rain and the ten-plus inches that fell around the region during May of 2006, you may be tempted to say “good riddance.”

But writer, photographer and birding enthusiast Ted Levin found a silver lining of sorts that came about because of the persistent precipitation. He recently spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about it.
