Retired Middlebury College Political Science Professor Eric Davis says that Tropical Storm Irene has altered Vermont’s political landscape for the next year’s state-wide campaign. Potential Republican gubernatorial candidates were expected to decide on running by mid-September, but the storm’s destruction has pushed back any campaign announcements.
