A Vermont State Police investigator says the cause of the fire that destroyed a Jamaica convenience store is undetermined, but not suspicious.

The fire at Mo’s Market on Route 30 also destroyed four apartments, leaving 15 people homeless.

The blaze was reported just before 3:00 Tuesday morning. When firefighters arrived the building was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was injured. The Red Cross said it has secured temporary housing for one of the displaced families.

Firefighters from about 15 departments in Vermont and New Hampshire helped extinguish the blaze.

Route 30 remained closed until early yesterday afternoon.

The building is considered a total loss.
