Governor Peter Shumlin has appointed Jill Krowinski to fill the Burlington House seat of Representative Rachel Weston, who stepped down at the beginning of the legislative session.
Krowinski served as an assistant to former House Speaker Gaye Symington, and also as the Executive Director of the Vermont Democratic Party. She is currently the Vermont Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
Shumlin says Krowinski has worked hard to get young people involved in the political process, and she’ll be able to hit the ground running.
