This year’s Vermont Farm Show is the biggest one so far.

The annual event opened Tuesday at its new location at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction.

Organizers say it is the largest Farm Show in the state’s history, with 266 booths, representing 168 vendors.

The Farm Show this year moved from Barre to Essex Junction to accommodate the growing number of vendors and visitors.

The three-day event runs through Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday night the Farm Show will stay open until 8 p.m. for consumer night with a buy local market made up of 44 local farmers and producers. Legislators and Agency of Agriculture representatives will also compete in the Capital Cook-Off, a cooking competition using local Vermont food.
