A 61-year old Windsor attorney facing felony marijuana possession charges will no longer serve as a family court judge.
A court administrator says Martha Davis has been removed from the list of approved attorneys to sit on family court cases in White River Junction.
Davis was charged earlier this year after game wardens looking for a dead deer on her property found marijuana. A subsequent search of her home found 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana.
Windsor County State’s Attorney Robert Sand has referred the case to the court diversion program, setting off a controversy. Gov. Jim Douglas ordered the police to send all marijuana cases in the county to the Attorney General’s office.
