A veteran aide to Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy will become chief of staff when current chief Luke Albee leaves next month. Ed Pagano has been on Leahy’s staff since 1993 and is currently the senator’s senior counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The 42-year-old Pagano is a graduate of the University of Vermont. Pagano has handled several of Leahy’s leading projects. Leahy says he’s blessed to have what he calls a talented and tireless staff.

Albee is leaving Leahy’s staff to join a Washington lobbying firm.
