Legislative leaders uphold governor’s veto

The Vermont House and Senate have sustained Governor Jim Douglas’ veto of a juvenile justice bill. Both the House and Senate held only token sessions Thursday because legislative leaders decided they could fix problems with the bill next year. Only the leadership of the House and Senate returned to Montpelier Thursday to go through the formalities of upholding the veto.
