LIHEAP Filling Gap With State Funding

At a committee meeting this morning, Vermont lawmakers considered whether to add an additional $8.8 million dollars to the federally funded Low Income Home Heating Assistance Program, commonly known as LIHEAP. That state money will be needed to keep heating benefits equal to last year.
