Man Sentenced In Swanton Bank Robbery

A Vermont man been sentenced to seven years in federal prison after being convicted in a second bank robbery.

Federal prosecutors say 27-year-old Allan Reynolds robbed the People’s United Bank branch in Swanton in Nov. of 2011 while wearing a disguise. Authorities say he fled the bank on a bike.

Reynolds pleaded guilty to the charges in September.

Prosecutors say he robbed the bank while on supervised released from the first bank robbery sentence. Reynolds pleaded guilty in 2007 to robbing the TD Bank in Enosburg Falls and was sentenced to 33 months in prison, followed by a two-year term of supervised release.
