Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents say they’ve jailed one man wanted as part of a Burlington-based international marijuana smuggling operation and are looking for a second man.
Court records say 25-year-old Christopher Staniforth or his associates smuggled in 50 to 100 pounds of marijuana into the country in October.
The Burlington Free Press reports Staniforth fled and eluded federal agents after a 10-pound sale of marijuana as under way late Thursday.
Agents arrested 23-year-old Curran Devlin in Essex as part of the drug sale. He was ordered held without bail pending a hearing.
