(Host) Saint Albans has a new mayor. City Council President Marty Manahan received 833 votes, easily defeating challengers
Marlys Lemnah and Michael Thomas.

Manahan says the big issues facing Saint Albans are downtown revitalization and development.

(Manahan) “We want to stay on the same track. We want to certainly concentrate on our downtown and keep that as a priority as well as the tax stabilization, and being aware of the tax burdens that all our residents face, and keep our expenses low and our revenues high.”

(Host) Manahan, a Democrat, received the endorsement of outgoing Mayor Peter Deslaurier who has served for twelve years.
