Americans and Iraqis continue to struggle with short and long term ramifications of the war in Iraq. But the violence is also having an effect on Iraq’s neighbor and long time rival, Iran.

Mansour Farhang is the former Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations and currently a professor of political science at Bennington College. He will be speaking about these issues tonight in Middlebury as part of the Vermont Humanities Council’s First Wednesdays Lecture Series. He spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about the problems the war in Iraq has created with Iran.

Note: Mansour Farhang will speak tonight at the Ilsley Public Library in Middlebury at 7pm.
