Legislature adjourns
The final gavel has come down on the 2004 Legislative session. Adjournment came after disagreements between the House and the Senate over next year’s capital construction bill were worked out late Thursday afternoon. (VPR)

Burlington man climbs Everest
A Burlington man has made it to the top of Mount Everest as part of a Connecticut-based expedition. The 28-year-old Dave Watson called his parents in Connecticut at about 10:15 Wednesday night from the summit of the 29,035-foot mountain. (AP)
