Central Vermont Public Service estimates that it has now restored electricity to about a third of the 42,000 customers who lost power yesterday; one of the founders of Vermont Public Radio has died; the Vermont Health Department will not order the Champlain Water District to stop using a chemical water disinfectant that some people say is making them sick; this is National Library Week, and at the University of Vermont it’s being observed with the launch of a new Center for Digital Initiatives.
