A new survey and report released just this morning shows there is a dire need to keep young people from leaving Vermont, and to attract new generations to the state; economist William Darity says its time for the U.S. to face it’s past and grant slave reparations for the descendants of the 4 million African-American slaves released from bondage at the end of the Civil War; elsewhere in Vermont, Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama has been identified as the state’s leading fundraiser.
