The former companion of Sgt. Tom Stone, the soldier died in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan last year, is speaking out about what happened; fighting for Universal Health care in the U.S. will be the focus of a forum in Burlington tonight by the group “Vermont Health Care for All”; the Canaan Town Library in New Hampshire kicks off its 18th year of “Meetinghouse Readings” with guest authors Tinling Choong, of Randolph, Vermont, and Gretchen Wallace, of Canaan.
