Last night the field of Democrats running for President gathered at a TV studio in New Hampshire for their third televised Presidential debate; in New Hampshire, a new conservative Republican group called the Hampshire Reagan Network, there is holding its organizational kickoff dinner tonight in Manchester; the Vermont Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union is hosting a meeting this week to discuss how the state should handle illegal drugs;
Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy has, as a matter of seniority, one of the coveted hideaway offices in the U.S. Capitol Building, with a view of the National Mall and Washington Monument; a U.S. Army Reserve Center in Rutland, slated to close in 2011, could become a school building or an administrative center for the city Recreation Department; Pamela Low, credited with creating Captain Crunch cereal in 1963, has died at the age of 79 in New Hampshire.
