The Saxtons River Elementary School is back in session today, and workers are still finishing the clean-up of a heating oil spill; according to national report out this week, Vermont leads the nation with the lowest death rates from summertime accidents among children; the most reliable of all the signs of spring has finally occurred, at the annual Ice Out Contest at Joe’s Pond in West Danville; a dozen UVM students have ended their five day hunger strike in support of higher wages for 400 University workers.
