Vermont Governor Jim Douglas and the governors of 23 other states have co-signed a letter to Congressional leaders in Washington, asking for a bi-partisan inquiry into the escalating gasoline prices across the country; a Wolcott man facing murder charges wants a judge to dismiss his court-appointed lawyers… again; there’s a memorial service at the Statehouse this afternoon for former state representative Ruth Towne, who died last week at 79; the town of Bethlehem, NH, is challenging a state order that it repay about $750,000 in taxes to the company that runs a landfill.
