Travelers to and from Vermont’s capital city may want to take note of upcoming interstate ramp closures at Interstate 89’s Exit 8.
Motorists approaching Montpelier from the north or leaving the city and heading south will face ramps closed for paving from 7 p.m. tonight to 7 a.m. tomorrow.
Those approaching from the north will want to get off at Exit 9 in Middlesex and travel on U.S. Route 2 the last few miles into Montpelier. Those heading from Montpelier to points south will want to make their way to Exit 7 in Berlin.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation has placed message boards on the interstate to give drivers advance warning of the closing.
