Drivers can expect to see more police at construction zones on Vermont’s highways and byways. The program coincides with public service announcements on television and radio aimed at increasing public awareness of work zone safety.

Twenty-four officers have been trained in enforcement and are working across the state. One group of officers issued $60,000 worth of tickets in one day. The initiative was launched by the agency’s Work Zone Group and the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
