With just a week since the election, there are more changes in the Douglas administration. The governor announced on Wednesday that Agency of Transportation Secretary Patricia McDonald will leave her post and take up a new position in the Department of Labor.

That department itself is new. It will be created by merging the Department of Employment and Training and the Department of Labor and Industry. The current DET commissioner, Anne Ginevan, is retiring from state government.

Taking over for McDonald at the Transportation Agency will be Dawn Terrill, a Colchester resident who now works as president and CEO of Hill Associates in Colchester.

The latest shake-up in administration staff follows the announcement earlier this week that Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Elizabeth McLain will step down early next year.
