Morris Earle, the Vermont lawyer who founded the Small-Is-Beautiful movement and was a perennial candidate for Congress died this week in Salisbury.
Morris Earle was a longtime resident of New Haven and pushed the idea of small-scale economic growth during his Congressional campaigns in the 1980s.
He was an independent who also ran for the Vermont House and the Vermont Senate.
A memorial service will be held on June 17th at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Middlebury.
Morris Earle was 89.
