Starting Tuesday, Orange County commuters will have a new place to park.
A new 85-space park and ride will open just off exit 4 of Interstate 89 in Randolph.
The new lot is part of the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s efforts to almost double the number of park and ride spaces over a 10-year period.
The area will serve as a bus stop for Stagecoach Transit Services, which operates a bus between Randolph and Lebanon, N.H., with stops in Sharon and White River Junction.
The state now maintains about 1,100 park and ride spaces statewide.
