New state climatologist joins UNH

New Hampshire has a new state climatologist.

The University of New Hampshire says it’s Mary Lemcke, an assistant professor of geography at the school.

Lemcke joined the university in July. She had been an assistant professor of geography and earth sciene at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Her areas of expertise include climatology, weather, polar climates and paleoclimatology.
