An architectural firm has identified four options for how the state can return its displaced Waterbury work force to permanent quarters. Members of the Public Service Board held a hearing this morning on the scope of the state’s authority over Vermont Yankee. The Vermont Land Trust has agreed to buy nearly 1,200 acres in the Green Mountains that are popular for backcountry skiers. A section of Vermont Route 105 in the town of Berkshire is closed because of flooding from the Missisquoi River.
