A Dollar General Store proposed for the town of Chester is facing a lot of resistance. Officials in Bennington say the mild winter could end up saving the town about $150,000 in maintenance costs. In Burlington, a woman has been honored for jumping into a river to save the life of a boy who was crying for help. Police departments throughout Vermont have begun to adopt a new technology as LPR, or "license plate reader."
