Governor Peter Shumlin and legislators have agreed to spend an additional five million dollars on potholes and other spring highway repairs. Lawmakers have endorsed two bills that backers believe will help improve the quality of education in Vermont. Opponents of Vermont Yankee are disappointed that the nuclear power plant is still generating electricity today. NH lawmakers have rejected a bill that would have made their state the first to repeal a gay marriage law through legislation.
