The VT House has given its early approval to the state budget for next year. As many as a thousand demonstrators gathered in Brattleboro today to protest the continued operation of the Entergy Vermont Yankee nuclear plant. Authorities say a “Fire Weather Watch” is in effect tomorrow for all of Vermont from Rutland and Windsor Counties north to the Canadian Border.
