The House has approved a budget that increase state spending by 5 percent. Immigrant farmworkers are one step closer to being able to legally drive in VT. On the morning of March 13th, fire ravaged a game farm in Springfield. More than 20-thousand quail and 30 pigs died in the 19th century barn. The birds and pork were destined for some high-end dinner plates.Customers are now frantically trying to buy up what’s left.And as VPR’s Charlotte Albright reports, the brothers who own the farm are trying to keep their business alive. The state is hoping to improve water quality in Lake Champlain’s Missisquoi Bay basin.
