Vermonters are heading to their town halls and school gymnasiums for Town Meeting to vote on town and school budgets, elect officials and decide if money should be spent on certain town projects. In Castleton, local residents are again weighing in on what to do about their town office after mold and other safety issues forced municipal officials to move out of the building nearly two years ago. Cabot met last night and decided that the Cabot High School will stay open. Six Vermont towns have made a formal offer to ten property owners whose homes were destroyed during Tropical Storm Irene to buy their property using federal funds.
