Democrats and incumbents came out on top in the statewide races decided yesterday.  Democrats Attorney General Bill Sorrell, Secretary of State Jim Condos and Treasurer Beth Pearce all retained their posts.  Governor Peter Shumlin cruised to an easy re-election victory over Republican challenger Randy Brock. Shumlin defeated Brock by almost 20 percentage points. Congressman Peter Welch won a fourth term representing Vermont, easily defeating political newcomer Mark Donka.
