A New Hampshire company is expected to buy the hydroelectric dams on northeastern Vermont’s Clyde River. BayCorp Holding wants to acquire the dams from Citizens Energy Services.

Citizens Energy will pay to repair the dams and add a new trap-and-truck operation to take salmon and other fish from below the dam to the upper sections of the Clyde River.

The biggest dam on the river would generate about three-point-four megawatts of power per year. The deal requires state and federal regulatory approval.
