NH Congressional Candidates Ready For Busy Year

Candidates for New Hampshire’s congressional seats were plenty busy in 2009, but things will really take off in the new year.

As the New Hampshire Union Leader points out, by the end of 2010, the state could have its first all-female congressional delegation if Kelly Ayotte wins the Senate race, Carol Shea-Porter is re-elected in the 1st Congressional District and Jennifer Horn, Ann McLane Kuster or Katrina Swett prevails in the 2nd District.

With Judd Gregg leaving elective politics after three decades in Washington or at the Statehouse, the state could have two Democratic U.S. senators for the first time since the late 1970s, if Rep. Paul Hodes wins. And an all-Democratic delegation also is not out of the question.
