No Serious Damage Reported In Vt. From Quake

(Host) The earth shook across the region yesterday during yesterday’s earthquake, but it caused no serious damage in Vermont.

Vermont Emergency Management spokesman Mark Bosma says the quake prompted numerous calls to that office.

The 5-point-8-magnitude quake was centered in Virginia. It was felt at least as far north as Burlington, where some offices were evacuated.

In southern Vermont, Vermont Yankee nuclear plant spokesman Larry Smith says nothing was recorded by the plant’s seismic monitor.
